2 day interactive - Nutritionist designed cooking classes

The programme uses interactive behaviour change techniques to encourage healthier eating habits. The programme has significant positive effects on dietary behaviour, food choice and cooking- giving them life skills that will enable them to be more independent. Learning how to cook from scratch is so important and it is crucial that we all have an understanding of where our food comes from, how to cook and how it affects our bodies, especially starting from a young age. Instilling happy and healthy habits!
Our lead food Trainer Shailea is a Nutritionist and chef. Plus, the workshop will also be run with an Allied Health Assistant making these workshops more than your average workshop though a completely holistic approach, which is how we get such positive results .
Over 2 days, 2-hour workshops each. You will learn

All Abilities Nutrition based cooking course
5 week course

Learning how to cook from scratch is so important and it is crucial that we all have an understanding of where our food comes from,
how to cook and how it affects our bodies, especially. Instilling happy and healthy habits to adults of all abilities.
Our lead food Trainer Shailea is a Nutritionist and chef. Plus, the workshop will also be run with an Allied Health Assistant making these workshops more than your average workshop. A workshop with a focus on neurodivergence and support.
The difference ?
Shailea and the team at Diverse Therapy QLD understand the Neurodivergent brain. So these classes are specifically designed to help every participant shine and learn. From teaching delicious but simple recipes, the class also has mini brain break activities, which we know will help them get the most out of every class, learning lifelong skills. Pluc, a certificate of achievement at the end of the course.

Each workshop has a maximum of 6 participants and designed to be delicious but simple recipes giving each participant the time and attention they need to thrive and learn.

At the end of the class everyone sits down together and eats their nourishing creations, which creates a social and inclusive environment.
